BROCHURE ARCHIVE AREA
The following are some of our older brochures dating back to 1984. You can download these pdf files for free. The files are quite large (EETPU Brochures are 1.5MB and 4MB, National College Brochure is 15MB). If you have any old photos, brochures etc that you would like to donate for this historical part of our internet pages then please let us know.
1984 Brochure: The Brochure from 1984 refers to the origin of the union's technical training in June 1980. This took place in Cudham Hall, a large residential facility near Sevenoaks in Kent.
1989 EETPU Brochure: The Brochure from 1989 refers to training that we provided on the 15th Edition of the IEE Regulations and the (then) new EAW Regulations. Some of the other courses are recognisably similar to our current courses, but the emphasis in the 80s was very much on electronics as this was the emerging technology of the day.
2001 National College Brochure: The Brochure from 2001 contains courses which resemble our current approach much more. It was at the start of our drive to clarify what the courses would bring by way of clearly-stated objectives, leading to carefully-staged assessments and this allowed the statements of competence that we wanted on the certificates to start to appear. The courses also started to be grouped into our our now familiar electrical, mechanical and instrumentation ranges of courses.
People in the Photographs: If you think you recognise any of the people in the photographs in these brochures, then you are not mistaken, they really are Shaun, Martin, John and Fred!
